Our Bulldog’s cross country season has finally come to an end. The Bulldogs finished 13th as a team in a very competitive sectional meet at Hinsdale to wrap up their historic season. The bulldogs were led by sophomores Santiago Carbajal, and James O’shea who ran 15:15.81 and 15:29.85 respectively to secure 46th and 62nd overall. Still, despite not qualifying for the state meet at Detweiler, the Bulldogs put up an impressive performance and even had 4/7 runners run a personal best on one of the toughest and hilliest courses that there is.
“Really happy with how hard these guys fought. It’s the end of one of our best seasons in program history. We will be back!” – Coach Kawulia.
The Bulldogs will definitely be back, and stronger than before. Congratulations to the team and Coach Kawulia on all their success this season. The team won the SSC Red Conference meet, placed 3rd at the regional meet, and 13th in a stacked sectional meet. Coach Kawulia also received coach of the year honors, and rightfully so. With as much work as he puts in there isn’t any coach who deserves it more. Go Bulldogs!
