Our Lady Bulldogs start off the year right with a huge win over SSC rivals Eisenhower in the Bobby Bolton Classic. Racking up a score of 56-39 our Bulldogs simply dominated. Leading the pack was senior and veteran Kailey Moore who put up an impressive 17 points. Followed by fellow senior vets, Leilani Avila and Skylar Egan, who had 11 and 10 points respectively. The Bulldogs then faced their next opponents, the Thornton Township Wildcats, which unfortunately ended in a heartbreaking double overtime thriller with a score of 60-55. Nonetheless, these girls put on a phenomenal performance with Kailey Moore leading the pack with 17 points once again. This time followed by senior Miracle Shelton and Leilani Avila who had 15 and 13 points themselves. “Great team effort all game!” – Coach Tommy Makuch exclaimed. These girls really fought and gave it their all until that final buzzer rung and for that we could not be more proud. The Bulldogs will take on the Walter Payton Grizzlies next on Thursday, November 21st and will continue to power through the rankings in this holiday classic. Great job ladies and best of luck. Go Bulldogs!
