The Richards Golf Team has kicked off their season with a new and exciting addition. For the first time in HLR history, there is a girls golf team. This is a special accomplishment for the Richards athletics program. Senior and four year golf player, Tori Lia, shares her experience on the golf team. “I was on the boys golf team for three years with a couple of other girls. We had fun and were able to compete in matches against the boys. However, having a girls team allows for a level playing field when competing, as well as a more inviting front for other girls to join the golf program. I’m thankful for Jacie, Wuj, and Coach Peck for making the girls golf team a reality this year. It’s been a lot of fun so far and I can’t wait for the rest of the season!” Both golf teams are off to a great start with wins against SSC rival Shepard Astros. Congrats to both teams on a great start to the season.
